We invite you to join EMLYON’s Ph.D. outdoor seminar in Chamonix: March 15-17.
A great opportunity for third-year Ph.D. students to receive feedback on their research, network, and ski!

Ph.D. students from various European schools present their doctoral work and receive feedback from fellow students and professors. Exposure to cutting-edge research helps identifying current and future trends in topics and methods. To make the most out of this experience, participants must send their full paper in advance and prepare reviews of other participants’ papers.
Papers should focus on the participants’ doctoral research. Both theoretical and empirical papers are welcomed, as long as they are closely related to the dissertation topic.
Participating doctoral students need to read the papers that will be assigned to them and have to prepare written comments.
We will spend about 50 minutes per paper, with a 10-15-minute presentation (which should take into account that participants have read the paper), and the remaining time devoted to comments and discussion.
As usual, EMLYON Business School will pay for hotel and half-board for two nights in Chamonix, France. This means that those coming only for the seminar will have no expenses except traveling. Those wishing to stay longer and ski will be on their own.
We have reserved 15 rooms in wonderful Hotel Labrador in Chamonix (see www.hotel- labrador.com). Ph.D. students will share rooms with another student.
Travel arrangements to the seminar are to be made by participants themselves. Chamonix is easily reached by train, air, and land; check their website: www.chamonix.com. Should you want to stay longer, please book in advance.
February 15th: Send a 1-page summary of your paper, the name of your advisor, and a current vitae to Mrs. Catherine Perrier: perrier@em-lyon.com
March 1st: Send the final version of your paper, which we will circulate to your assigned reviewers. Extensions cannot be granted.
